What excuses are you telling yourself that are holding you back from the success that you want in your life? The one that I hear the most is people using their children or their jobs.
But let me ask you this if you didn’t have children or a job do you think it’d be easier to drop that 20 lbs? Kids and work are time and energy demands for sure, but it doesn’t mean that it is impossible for us to make that happen. There are a lot of other people with similar situations that have been successful. There is always a way if it’s important you will figure it out.
I want to share a secret little trick with you that can make all the difference. Instead of looking for something outside of you that is to blame for not losing the weight, take that power and control and bring it back inside of you. You are the only one who can make the decision and decide, “today is the day”.
There will always be an excuse but what if Instead you made a pact with yourself to take full responsibility for yourself, your life and your weight.
Start using your children your family or your job as the reason WHY you will be successful. Your children need a happy healthy parent. When we have kids we are a teacher and class is always in session. They are learning from what we do on a daily basis. And that includes making excuses. Change your verbiage to “I am going to succeed!”
Internalize your excuses but externalize your WHY!
If you could succeed at building a life you imagine and it would change your life why do you not do it? Turn the mirror on yourself and figure out a way to succeed. Do it for your family so you can show up as the best version of you.
What excuses are you believing? That you’re too old, too busy, too broke, people around you aren’t supportive, your work schedule is too crazy? If it’s important you will make it happen. Wake up earlier, stay up later, hire help, rearrange your schedule, have a journal, make a list.
What excuses are you using today that are really a lie? Take full responsibility for where you are and where you are going. You will get full credit for the life you create good or bad.
